What is career coaching?

Career coaching is a collaborative and personalized process. We work together to help you discover your worth, communicate your worth and monetize your worth.  Depending on your professional goals we can help you put a plan together to achieve the results you are looking for. It can be for individuals in transition, for those needing help with the job search or for people dissatisfied with their current role.

 How does career coaching work?

Coaching can be short term or long-term. It’s whatever you need! We can work together in several ways. We deliver onsite career coaching classes, facilitate private phone consultations, deliver webinars, and sell e-careerguides.  We help keep the momentum going and provide the structure to keep the process moving forward and on track.  We help you get focused and unstuck when you hit roadblocks.

How can we work together if I live outside of California?

We have worked with many clients across the world and we work effectively via the telephone, e-mail and webinars. One of the benefits of coaching is that it eliminates geographical boundaries, offering convenience and flexibility.

We can schedule the meetings during the day or evening to accommodate different time zones.

 How much does it cost?

Each individual comes to coaching with a unique set of issues and areas on which they would like to focus. Some people just need a resume or coaching on interviewing techniques; others want guidance and clarity on their career aspirations. Some people want to work through the career exploration process.

Career Coaches assist you in overcoming self doubt, insecurities and fears, and help you focus on solutions. It is so important to work with someone who is an expert in coaching people into jobs. We have the real time and up-to-date information about what hiring managers and human resource professionals are looking for in today’s market.

The extra support can make all the difference in the world because you tend to get very serious and sometimes anxious and depressed when you are in a career transition or when looking for a job. We help you stay on track and be productive.

Can a career coach help me identify my skills and expertise?

Yes, we can take you through a personal assessment process and administer personality and aptitude tests as well as interest profiles.

I am not sure what I want to be when I grow up?

Most people aren’t sure. We can help you explore your career options. We can also help you think outside of the box.

I don’t have a college degree. Does it matter?

No, we have a saying at dear jane and it goes like this...”like attracts like.” There are a lot of hiring managers in the world that don’t have college degrees. Also, there are a lot of hiring managers that do have college degrees, but are looking for individuals with expertise in their chosen field.

I have been at the same job for 20 years. I don’t even know how to look for a job.

We hear this all the time. That’s why hiring a career coach can help you learn about the current market and industry trends that are affecting your profession. We know the latest career management strategies and tips to help you find a job quickly.

How can you determine if coaching is right for you?

To determine if you could benefit from coaching, start by summarizing what you would expect to accomplish in coaching. When someone has a fairly clear idea of the desired outcome, a coaching partnership can be a useful tool for developing a strategy for how to achieve that outcome with greater ease. Since coaching is a partnership, also ask yourself if you find it valuable to collaborate, to have another viewpoint and to be asked to consider new perspectives. Also, ask yourself if you are ready to make the financial commitment and devote the time and energy to making real changes in your work or life. If the answer to these questions is yes, then coaching is a beneficial way for you to grow and develop.

What can you expect to pay for coaching?

Classes and individual coaching fees vary.

Please see our website for pricing at www.dearjane.info or call 1-866-822-7298.

Why is coaching worth so much more than you pay?

The value of the goals you achieve will greatly exceed what you pay for coaching. In fact, coaching clients have found that the value of the goals they achieve through coaching are inevitably priceless. There are also other, hidden benefits of coaching, such as enhanced thinking and decision-making skills, improved productivity, stronger self-confidence and better relationships.

What results can I expect from coaching?

Career coaching can help you:

·                     discover what you love to do,

·                     clarify what you're meant to do,

·                     explore your career options,

·                     gain a renewed sense of direction, and

·                     create a job search strategy that fits your personality and strengths

Basically, you get out of coaching what you put into it.

What calling options do I have if I don't live in the U.S. or have a reasonable long-distance phone plan?

A prepaid calling card may provide a cheaper alternative to traditional long distance services. If you don't live in the U.S., an international calling card could save you some money.

Another option is Skype, a free software program that allows you to call other Skype users anywhere in the world, free of charge. To use Skype, you'll need to have a computer with a reliable DSL or cable broadband connection, plus a headset. You can use the microphone and speakers that came with your computer, but the quality may not be as good.

What happens once I decide to work with you?

We request payment in advance (which could be for one session, one month, or longer, depending on which coaching option you choose). You may pay with MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express or personal check. We will then contact you to review your career action and coaching plan.

What type of individuals do you work with?

We work with people from all walks of life, all professions, socio and economic backgrounds. Our methodologies and processes apply to everyone, anywhere, anytime.

Do you work with people over 50?

Yes. We work with clients from the ages of 13 years old to 70+ years old. What matters is that you truly want a career that's an authentic expression of who you are, and that you are willing to commit yourself to the career coaching process.

How do I get started?

Career coaching is not something we sell; it is something you buy because you want it. In today’s economy there is no better investment than you can make than in yourself. Call today - 1-866-822-7298 or visit our website at www.dearjane.info.
